G. Kenneth Bernhard

"Donating through a Will or Trust makes a great deal of sense for any person who has a commitment to a charity and who wants to leave an important legacy." That's the advice Connecticut attorney G. Kenneth Bernhard of the firm Cohen and Wolf, PC, gives his clients who are making their estate plans. Ken has followed his own advice and so have many of his clients.

A lifelong animal welfare advocate, Ken has chosen IFAW as the organization that will best carry out his ideals and aspirations regarding animal issues. He has not only provided financial support for IFAW but has undertaken many foreign endeavors, including working with the Senegalese Rangers on anti-poaching patrols and going undercover in Kenya to expose illegal ivory dealers.

His commitment to animal protection includes making IFAW a beneficiary of his Will and telling others about IFAW. "I want to insure that IFAW can keep up the important work that it does after I am gone. Its pragmatic approach and anti-cruelty mission mirror my own values. When appropriate, I am happy to recommend IFAW to clients who share my interests."

IFAW is very grateful for Ken's personal commitment to animals and for telling others about our cause.
